Kimpton Bowls Club was founded in 1947 and is situated on the top end of the Kimpton recreation field off the high street; an idyllic location.
The club has a very full fixtures list, playing other clubs in Herts and Beds in mid-week triples leagues and triples friendly matches. We also play a number of in-house competitions for club trophies, most of which are free to enter for full and associate members. The club also hosts bowls/social events with other sports clubs and groups in and around Kimpton. Groups of young people are particularly encouraged to attend.
Do not be fooled by common misconceptions, bowls is not for old people but popular amongst all ages.
Our trophy winners list confirms that the majority of in-house competitions were won by players below retirements age.
We welcome new members of any age, both novice and experienced players.
Come along on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6pm and try your hand at this internationally popular sport - tuition and equipment are available if required.
